COVID-19 Risk Assessment

Armstrong Richardson’s approach throughout Covid19 has been to follow guidance issued by the Government and Public Health Advisors.

We have put in place control measures to reduce risk in the workplace by maintaining social distancing and good hygiene practices for all our customers and colleagues. We have taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2 metre social distance throughout all areas of the company, and increased the level of signage to assist our customers and staff.  Where a 2 metre social distance is not possible, we have taken all practicable steps to reduce transmission risk.

We have increased hygiene procedures and frequency of deep cleans throughout all office areas.

All entrances at Head Office are now key entry only and external visitors enter by invite only.

Head office departments layout has been changed with increased space between desks, Perspex screens between all staff and hand sanitiser stations throughout.

Staff rooms have been re-designed with fewer tables and limited staff at any one time.

We have introduced hand sanitiser stations at all store entry points, introduced a 2m footprint queueing system with markers and tape, implemented till screens, issued  staff with face coverings and disposable gloves and ask the public who come into our stores to comply and wear face coverings. Store trolleys and basket handles are cleaned regularly.

Customers are encouraged to pay by contactless card method.

No buying visits, and all meetings carried out by video conference.

We have encouraged where practicable working from home for our colleagues.

Warehouse work patterns altered to minimise the number of staff on site at the same time.
